Formula: theoretical speed = RPM ÷ gear ratio × pitch ÷ 1056. Efficiency = actual speed ÷ theoretical speed. If the speed unit is set to knots, Prop Match converts speed to MPH internally before calculating. If boat length is entered in meters, Prop Match converts to feet for fit rules. If current pitch is unknown, Sharrow Prop Match™ predicts the most likely standard prop pitch using WOT speed, WOT RPM, gear ratio, and the selected WOT efficiency target. Default is 88% when pitch is unknown.
